A short walk away from the Stay Inn, Piazza di Spagna features the Fontana della Barcaccia and the fantastic staircase of Trinità dei Monti, two of the most emblematic places in Rome, which often take center stage in movies and fashions shows. To reach Via del Corso and the Stay Inn of Rome from here, walk along (and drool in front of) the windows of the shops that line via Condotti, a most famous fashion street that represents passion for haute couture, luxury, prestige and high-end shopping. Exploring the backstreets, you will experience the atmosphere of ancient Rome, discover antique shops, restoration supply shops and antiques and typical trattorias... Located within easy reach from the Stay Inn, Piazza della Rotonda hosts the monumental Pantheon, temple of the Roman gods. Also nearby, don't forget to throw a coin into the Trevi Fountain; it's for good luck! Along Via del Corso, you'll also find Palazzo Doria and the Doria Pamphilij Gallery, which features many painting and sculpture masterpieces. Keep an eye on Palazzo delle Esposizioni: this place hosts prestigious shows that span from fashion to art and science, in addition to musical and movie events. Here are some examples: the show “Bulgari: between eternity and history", the “FotoGrafia" international festival. Near the Stay Inn of Roma, you'll find the wonderful park of Villa Borghese, which features a biopark, movie theatre, theatre, museums and wonderful gardens. Then, allow yourself to take a stroll around the Pincio, the hill that rises above the city! For artists: At the end of may, the historical street of via Margutta, in the nearby city district of Campo Marzio, the “Cento Pittori Via Margutta" will be inaugurated; it holds one of the most suggestive and well-known paint art galleries in Rome.
How to get there:
Strarting from the autostrade, go to the Grande Raccordo Anulare, take the Salaria exit towards the city center ("centro") and continue along via Pinciana driving along the fence of Villa Borghese. Park at Porta Pinciana, then take the ATAC public bus no. 116 to Via del Corso.
From the "Termini" train station"
You can take subway line A (towards Battistini) and get off at the Spagna station. From the square, continue down via del Balbuino; then take the third road on the left, where you'll find the Stay Inn guest houses at street no. 81.
From the “Leonardo da Vinci" airport":
Take the Leonardo Express train that connects the Leonardo da Vinci (Fiumicino) airport with the Termini train station. Upon request, the Stay Inn can arrange for your transfer.
From Ciampino Airport:
Take the bus to Anagnina; from there, take subway line A to the Spagna station. Alternatively, you can take the Terravision coaches to the Termini train station (in approx. 40 minutes).
